I have this evening written to all of the Town Councillors to make them aware of the huge public concern over their current plans for the Guildhall. The text of the letter is in the 'letter' section of the petition on the change.org site. They are meeting on 3rd October (Finance & General Purposes) and 18th October ( Full Council) and the future of the Guildhall is on the agenda. Both meetings start at 7pm and are open to the public. If people are able to attend either meeting it helps to focus councillors' minds. Judith Payne who kicked off the petition will speak at the meeting on the 3rd to ensure councillors are aware of the strength of public opinion.
