The decision to use iPads for students means that instructional time and work time is wasted because of the constant issues between changing topics and assignments. It hasn’t been working with Google suite (Docs, Sheets, Drawing, Classroom, YouTube), Quizlet, GoGuardian, and Edpuzzle. Despite our teachers repeatedly trying to resolve these issues with IT for two years plus during COVID, they remain unresolved.  During the closure, there were so many virtual activities we were unable to do. Most of us hate the lack of a keyboard to boot. Chromebooks are cheaper and more functional. It’s no exaggeration to say they can cost 15-30 minutes of class time on a near daily basis due to these issues and it means we won’t learn everything we need to in our classes as all that time adds up.
