Homeless Navigation Centers are planned at 88 Broadway (Front & Broadway) and Pier 23 (on the Embarcadero next to the Exploratorium and James Herman Cruise Pier). Centers are short term housing intended for the chronically homeless.

These locations are popular areas for San Francisco tourists and families, with many local restaurants and offices in the area alongside luxury housing and affordable housing, adjacent to historic Jackson Square. There are a number of public parks in the area, including a children’s park.

There is already an approved plan for new low and middle income family housing at 88 Broadway that will provide affordable housing to working class residents including nurses and teachers, as well as the elderly.

This community petition is for SF District 3 Supervisor Aaron Peskin to halt his proposed plans for Homeless Navigation Centers at 88 Broadway and Pier 23.
