Misinformed campaigners are trying to reduce the speed limit on a safe , under trafficked local dual carriageway between Chalfont St Peter and Tatling End There is no science in this campaign which will cost tax payers money to implement rather then on other road projects , The speed limit has been like this for the last 50 years!

This particular stretch has no pedestrian hazards,as they are separated from the road .In addition the road is well lit and straight with good visibility.

The speed limit has been like this for decades and the carriageway has a low accident rates in comparison to other roads.in the area . 

Lowering the limit will cause potential huge discrepancies in speed and frustrate road users.This could well increase accidents not reduce them.

Some locals are campaigning for a reduction in noise , anti social behavior , pony and trap racing , you name it .None of this has anything to do with the current speed limit 

Don't allow a band of misinformed locals to add taxpayers cost , create confusion and remove virtually the only derestricted dual carriageway in the area , making it impossible for new drivers to actually drive at 70 mph .
