My fellow sisters in Gqeberha have often shared the anxiety and fear they experience when booking a ride home through services. Many of us feel uneasy about whether we'll actually make it home safely, and this uncertainty just isn't right. We deserve to feel secure and protected at all times, especially when we're simply trying to get from one place to another.

Sadly, the reality is that women face increased risks of harassment and violence while using public transportation or ride-sharing services, particularly during late hours. Statistics show that in South Africa, gender-based violence is a significant concern, with a significant number of cases occurring during transit. These alarming figures tell us that more needs to be done to enhance safety measures for women.
