We, the people of St.Tammany parish, are petitioning to the St.Tammany Parish School Board to allow students to benefit from the military styled program designed by Dr.Robinson called "Project Believe." Our children need structure and guidance and it often takes a village to make sure that the children of our future continously walk the straight and narrow path. We would like to see a program that can pour into their well-being so that they will be more than the the troubles that they cause at school and/or home. We believe that children are the future and often they need more correction and guidance to change the behaviors that prevent them from flourishing on a much higher and positive note! This would be a greay investment into our children's future.. Please, STPSB, hear our plea and allocate funding for this program during the summer months . Dr.Robinson has already committed to the idea if funding is ever available. Help us be a difference maker in our children's future!! If we continue to not have this program over the summer, it will be as we are fighting a losing battle. And issues that could've been addressed before the school year starts, often are ignored until the program is available during school hours which not only disrupts the classroom and the teachers ability to educate but it also takes away from other students learning. Aside from those factors, it also ties up administrators in their daily job duties as well. We support our teachers and the staff as much as we support our children. We believe this program, if ran annually, can make a change for the greater good of everyone in the STPSB system.
