🚨 WORKSOP NEEDS ITS CUSTODY SUITE BACK 🚨

When someone is arrested in Worksop, officers often have to leave the town and travel to Mansfield so that person can be booked into custody.

That means officers are taken off Worksop’s streets for long periods — at the very time residents need them visible, available and responding locally.

With anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder continuing to affect our town, this simply does not make sense.

Worksop deserves a fully functioning police station with its own custody suite.

Bringing custody facilities back to Worksop would help:

✅ Keep more officers in Worksop for longer
✅ Improve police response times
✅ Tackle anti-social behaviour more effectively
✅ Strengthen visible policing
✅ Increase public confidence
✅ Make better use of police time and resources

Our town should not lose frontline policing capacity because essential facilities are located miles away.

We are calling on Nottinghamshire Police and Bassetlaw District Council to invest in Worksop and give our town the policing resources it needs and deserves.
