Friends, have you not felt insecure when you are driving a TN registered car/bike in KA and a KA registered car/bike in MH and so on so forth? There has to be STRICT CIRCULAR from the Ministry of Road Transport to all Police Commissioners across India not to STOP any car/bike from other states and harass on using the car in a different state. Make the ROAD TAX uniform across all States and Union Territories.

Number Plates must be issued either from POLICE Department or RTO to be used in every vehicle. The positioning of the Number Plates to cover in CCTV footage of every Toll gate should be made mandatory. Any plate using local language or any other images should be strictly fined and cease the vehicle. Unless and until these rules are strictly adhered across India, tracking of vehicles used by anti-social elements, miscreants, terrorists cannot be traced. Even the hit and run cases cannot be traced... therefore please sign up for this campaign. Innumerable SC rulings are there but it is unfortunate that the rules are flouted by the masses. Using crash guards or modified bumpers to camouflage the number plates is also becoming very common by the anti-social elements.

The news today is very encouraging.. Driving licences will not be issued without proper Road tests across India. Since the Ministry has direct control on RTO's instead of issuing Number plates with States Initials, it can provide a number to each RTO across India and the number plates can be uniform across India as IND 729 - AZ 2014... the numbers next to IND can be allotted in a random fashion to each RTO so that the vehicle cannot be identified whether it is from TN, KA, MH, PY etc. If there is Cauvery water dispute, being an Indian citizen, I/we should be able to drive safely without any worries anywhere in Karnataka state or TN. The RTO numbers allotted should be random varying from Kashmir to Kanyakumari...No one can easily identify to which State the vehicle and the passengers belong. 

This petition cannot be turned down by the Ministry as a State subject, I have made this a National Integration subject. I am very confident with the current PM in India, this is possible. 

One simple suggestion for implemention of this change - use the investment made in UID and make use of the IT investments and amend the contracts signed off with Software companies to implement this scheme in each and every "TSK" - rename RTO as Transport Seva Kendra. The Passport Seva Kendras has been a great success and with this transformation corruption can be eliminated totally. Jai Hind!
