Approaching 26,000 supporters!

Thank you everyone who has supported this campaign. Unfortunately the NSW Minister for Roads refuses to consider this as necessary because she has stated that there are not enough accidents involving emergency vehicles. This is the same Minister that launched a road safety campaign called “Towards Zero”. So isn’t just one accident too many?? Especially when you read about the incident that started this campaign that I have detailed in the story on the change. org site. This is already law in Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria and now Queensland are looking to introduce it as well. What is it the Ministers from those states can see that the NSW Minister is missing? Don’t our emergency services personnel and the people they are trying to help deserve the right to be protected? If you agree please share this campaign and ask your friends to support it. Join our Facebook group and then write to the NSW Minister for Roads and tell her that she has got it wrong. My biggest fear is that it is unfortunately only a matter of time until another tragic incident will happen in NSW. It frustrates me that I regularly receive messages from emergency services personnel describing near misses when working on or beside the roadway. It frustrates me because despite all the work I have done, and the huge amount of support from all over the state and country, that we are (in NSW) no closer to providing the protection that is essential. In fact everyone I have written to supports this idea. Everyone except the NSW Minister for Roads. Thank you again for your continued support. Michael Mils
