As passionate advocates for roller skating and rollerblading, we understand the multitude of benefits these activities bring to our health and wellbeing. Not only does roller skating provide an enjoyable avenue for people of all   ages to socialize, it also serves as  effective tools for physical health and literacy.

There is a need in Nelson for more inclusive and affordable activities that a multipurpose roller skate rink would provide, a safe space that can be enjoyed year-round by all demographics. Beyond the physical health advantages such as improved balance, strength and endurance while being good for the mind body and soul ,  it has significant mental health benefits such as stress reduction while being good for the heart.
