A fair deal for firefighters with Terminal Cancer

A fair deal for firefighters with Terminal Cancer
My brother, who worked for 30 years in the London Fire Brigade, has Stage 4 cancer and is now in palliative care.
Recent research by the University of Central Lancashire commissioned by the Fire Brigades Union shows that firefighters are many times as likely at risk of developing cancer than the general population. This is especially true for firefighters who work with PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl Substance) chemicals that are used widely in fire suppressant foams and are known to be highly carcinogenic.
In the UK there is no compensation for industrial injuries for firefighters as a result of the risks they are exposed to unlike in other countries.
This is a petition to ask the Government to do this to right this wrong. This is not just for my brother but for everyone else affected and their families.
This was the subject of the BBC Costing the Earth documentary last month. My brother's interview can be heard from 18.00 minutes in following the death of two of his firefighter colleagues
