The show “Escaping Polygamy” was a show that reached people looking to get out of cults, polygamous situations, and trapped situations. It brought awareness to people who really had no idea how bad it was to get out of cult life. The show was used as a platform to get people out of bad situations and that should always be a great ethical reason of why it should have stayed on air.

Many more people cannot get out of cult life alone. This show brought a spotlight never seen before on the cult’s problematic situation. It made people realize that the Colorado city police force was corrupt by the FLDS (Fundamentalist church of Latter Day Saints) and that there were more issues going on then just a cult living their life. No one is there to help the people in real need. There is a desperate need for people to get out. Some kids have chosen suicide over not being able to leave the cult. Some and possibly all kids and people who choose suicide have had no tombstone on their graves. Children’s graves, unmarked and shamed. It is toxic and needs to stay in the spotlight so that awareness can take place. Future people need to bring this to light. If it stays in the darkness, we leave so many kids to try and fend for themselves. 

with this show, it has seen donations of apartments, food, money to help start new lives for people searching for a better way out of the cult. We should not stop this from doing more good!
