The Issue
A Demand And Petition For the Redress of Grievances
Two hundred forty-nine years ago, in 1776, delegates to the Second Continental Congress made a declaration to the world decrying the behaviors of King George III of Great Britain. They declared their political connection to Great Britain totally dissolved at that time. To that end, they mutually pledged to one another their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.
They enumerated certain truths that they held self-evident:
- · All men are created equal
- · They are endowed with unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
- · That it is the purpose of government, deriving its just powers from the consent of the governed, to secure these rights
- · “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its power in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”
The following year, the United States adopted the Articles of Confederation. Due to the weakness of the central government, a Constitutional Convention was convened in 1787 to address that weakness by establishing a federal government with more specific powers. That document was ratified in 1788 and is today known simply as the Constitution of the United States, or more simply as the Constitution.
The framers of the Constitution, as well as those who argued against its ratification, feared too strong an executive, having only declared themselves independent of a monarch eleven years prior. In the Federalist Papers (Federalist No. 51), the author (either Alexander Hamilton or James Madison) argues that checks and balances are necessary and that the Constitution provides for them.
All of the above stated points are a matter of settled, recorded, verifiable history.
At this time, the President of the United States, one Donald J. Trump, is acting beyond the authority and Powers invested in the office of President by Article I of the US Constitution. Further, he has taken action, or allowed action to be taken, that has endangered the American People.
- His administration has not complied with federal court orders, violating Article III of the US Constitution.

On February 10, 2025, Judge John J. McConnell ruled that the government had not restored funding in several programs despite his earlier January 31 order temporarily halting an Office of Management and Budget directive.

On February 27, 2025, Judge William Alsup ruled that a January 20 memo and February 14 internal email regarding the Office of Personnel Management orders were illegal and should be rescinded.

Further, should the courts find his administration in Contempt, the order could also be ignored, since the Courts rely solely on the US Marshals to enforce their orders. The US Marshals report to the Department of Justice, an Executive Department. Such an outcome is not a mere thought exercise, as this administration has already demonstrated a willingness to ignore the Judicial branch. In effect, this places this Executive in the role of an authoritarian despot, subject only to his own whims, regardless of the will of the People.

- He has, by executive order (EO 14160), declared birthright citizenship to no longer apply to all persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, by attempting to redefine what the jurisdiction of the United States means. This clearly violates Amendment XIV, Section 1 of the US Constitution.
- He has, by allowing the Office of Management and Budget to freeze federal funding for programs that do not align with his agenda, refused to disburse payments duly authorized by the Congress, even though Article II does not bestow upon him that Power.
- He has, by executive order, established a new governmental department – the Department of Government Efficiency (a.k.a. DOGE), despite lacking the Power to do so under Article II.
- He has, by executive order, begun terminating federal employees, despite lacking enumerated Powers under Article II and other statutes.
- He has, through the aforementioned Department of Government Efficiency, begun dismantling federal departments and agencies established under the Powers solely bestowed upon the Congress under Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution. Lacking the Power to create, and similarly absent an enumerated Power to dissolve such departments and agencies, he clearly exceeds the Powers of his Office.
- Through a post on the social media platform X, utilizing the official White House account, a post has been made implying that the President is King.
- He has questioned the legitimacy of the federal courts whenever they have ruled against him, both in this administration and in his first administration.
- He compromised the safety and well-being of the American People by allowing the personnel responsible for the safeguard of the nation’s nuclear arsenal to be fired.
- He has allowed the Secretary of Defense to cease all planning for cybersecurity measures against the Russian Federation, again compromising the security of the American People.
At present, the Congress has failed to serve the People by enforcing the limits of Presidential authority or even exercise the basic functions of Congressional oversight. Indeed, many in the Congress defend his executive overreach and negligence, thus neglecting their Constitutional duty.
We the People of the United States of America, demand that the Congress address these grievances, as is our right under Amendment I. The President has sworn an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, yet he has violated the same. This conduct meets the definition of “other high Crimes and Misdemeanors,” as noted in Article II, Section 4.
Therefore, we call on the United States House of Representatives to Impeach Donald J. Trump and the Senate to Convict him, that he may be removed from office. Further, we call for the same treatment of the Vice President, J.D. Vance, and the Speaker of the House, Michael Johnson.
Upon Impeachment and removal from office of these three forsworn individuals, a special election must be called to select electors for a new President and Vice President.
If any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate is unwilling or unable to carry out their sworn obligation to uphold the Constitution, they should resign. Failure to do so shall be construed to signify that they have abandoned the Constitution and the Rule of Law.
