Overview:
As of the moment, the world is facing a massive problem regarding plastic pollution. With how often plastic is manufactured and used, it will continue to increase exponentially. According to UNEP, plastic pollution alters natural processes in which ecosystems have a hard time to adapt to climate change. 

There were 2.3 million tons in 1950 to 448 million tons by 2015 and production is expected to double by 2050 according to Laura Parker's article from National Geographic. If we as people do not do something, we might or already is heading toward a crisis that cannot be averted. 

At the very least, as responsible people of the environment we have to slowly down or help stop this problem. 

Purpose and Goals:
Thus, the purpose of this campaign. We are a student organization wherein our goal is to inform and spread awareness of plastic pollution. How it could harm us and how we could help battle it.

We the RPE - Responsible People of the Environment have the goal of: 

• Spread awareness about Plastic Pollution
• Inform people how we could battle it. 
• Advocate for proper disposal.
• Aim for a clean and safe environment. 
• Reach 100 signs in this petition
• Utilize the power of social media trend using: #APlasticADayKeepsPollutionAway, wherein the posts are correlated to: throwing away plastic materials in their proper disposal, (Reduce, reuse, recycle) in the form of picture, video, art, article, etc. 

Our mission 
We aim to spread awareness regarding the prevalent issue of plastic pollution. Our campaign and movement is to inform people how we as responsible people, could help protect our environment.

Our vision
Responsible People of the Environment (RPE) envisions a community wherein a clean and safe environment in regards for the welfare of the people.
