A Call for a Change in Leadership at MNU

A Call for a Change in Leadership at MNU
The Issue
MidAmerica Nazarene University is a place that we have come to love and appreciate! Some of the best years of our lives were spent at this university. We want to ensure that there will be a future generation of Pioneers, so we implore you to voice your concerns and issues with the current direction in which MNU is headed.
Time Line of recent events:
*Mid November, 2010: The university announces an increase of $1500 for the 2011-2012 academic year
*January 3, 2011: The university declares Exigency
*Mid January, 2011: 21 faculty and staff are released, four majors eliminated, and services lessened
*Early March, 2011: 1 staff member released, all staff and faculty have a reduction in pay of about 12% for pay periods between March 15th and June 30th
*Mid April, 2011: Administration decides unilaterally to reduce scholarship awards to incoming freshmen and transfers, as well as cut ALL current freshmen and sophomore (as well as transfers entering Fall 2009 and Fall 2010) scholarships by a minimum of 10%
Because of the current status of the university, we believe a strong step to change the direction of the university is in order.
