JUSTICE FOR TEDDY - 16 YEAR OLD TOY DOG KILLED BY BUSINESSMAN'S KICK-KEENE, NH
JUSTICE FOR TEDDY - 16 YEAR OLD TOY DOG KILLED BY BUSINESSMAN'S KICK-KEENE, NH
The Issue
We are petitioning the court and prosecutors to deny any plea bargains and prosecute to the full extent of the law to include jail time for Toby Tousley of Keene NH who admittedly not allegedly killed his neighbor's sixteen year old Pomeranian with one kick to Teddy's stomach/chest because the dog defecated on his lawn. We are also petitioning the court to remove and place into a rescue organization any pets that are currently owned by Tousley and prohibit him from owning pets in the future of any kind. If jail time is not given, at the very least, give him a lengthy community service work order which will include removing dog feces from the public areas of Keene as well as at the local shelter (with supervision of course). We are also petitioning the court to order restitution to Teddy's owners. Tousley has not shown any remorse which concerns the public that he may repeat this type of violent crime not only to an animal but perhaps a human being the next time he is enraged. As the court is aware, crimes against animals can fester into crimes against humans. We must let animal abusers know their actions will not be tolerated and that NH is not a friendly place for animal abusers.
Tousley said the dog was menacing him, yet there is an eye witness report to say the dog defecated on the lawn of one of Tousley's properties he owns and was reported to say "you are not going to crap on my lawn". The eye witness a young boy said he thought the boots Tousley wore were steel toed and he saw Tousley run at and kick the tiny dog and the dog flew into the air. While Teddy should have been properly restrained by his owner...due to his age he likely wandered onto Tousley's property and didn't even realize it. How menacing is a nearly deaf/blind sixteen year old Pom mix, really? This man owns a property management company in Keene and is running for City Council. I assume he won't win a seat. I would hope City Council members have some sort of code of ethics and I would think killing an animal would be unacceptable.
That Mr. Tousley committed this act of violence in front of a young boy is also particularly disturbing and warrants special circumstances when reviewing this case during the punitive phase.
Mr. Tousley had several legal options of dealing with the situation. He could have called the dog's owner or the Police Department. He simply could have picked up the feces from an old dog and disposed of it. He chose the most evil and illegal option...to murder the tiny elderly dog. He must be held accountable for his act of viciousness.
Please give Teddy's owners justice and make an example of Mr. Tousley to others who think killing a harmless animal will not be tolerated by NH citizens. Thank you.
Rest in Peace dearest Teddy. You were loved and I am sorry that an evil person took your life.
