400 Dachsunds Wanted For Back Cracking

The Issue

Burger Buddies Animal Health Specialists in Texas want 400 Dachsunds with  uneven leg length and/or delayed tactile propioception in rear legs for experimental research. They will perform  a neurological exam, back cracking on the Atlas, better known as  the upper cervical spine and do adjustments to the Occiput, better known as the skull. According to Rational Wiki, A "chiropractic subluxation is an asymptomatic misalignment or a "vertebral subluxation complex" thought to be a cause of disease.  Such a subluxation has never been proven to exist.  The theory behind chiropractic, specifically subluxation theory is scientifically unsound.........and may in fact cause harm."

Retired from Social Services as Director of Volunteers Services for The Guild for over 14 years, founded the Coffee and Caring Club of Ithaca in which we recognize the bad, applaud the good and give Kudos to those who make a positive difference on Humanitarian, Social and Political Issues. I admire all of you who care, but am selective about petitions I sign based on whether there's more than one petition on the same subject and I've signed the other. Whether I think this petition will affect change, who created it, who is it directed to, is there really an issue, are there references to it, etc.,etc. So, please don't send me petitions to sign. I'll research and sign on my own. Thanks much! Lyn
