30 days is not enough!

The Issue

Thanks to the obstruction of Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK), more than 200,000 Americans lost their unemployment insurance while Congress was on recess and up to 1 million more could lose their lifelines by the end of the month.

Not only does this mean disaster for the families who've already lost benefits, but as these folks cut back on groceries and other essentials, less money is going into local economies -- meaning more lost jobs.

Congress will vote this week to extend benefits another 30 days.  They must do this, but states and families need more stability.  They need benefits extended through the end of this year.

Sign the letter on the right to tell Congress -- 30 days is not enough!
