Dear 2K Games,

The original BioShock is one of the highest rated, well received and beloved video games of all time. On both video game scoring websites, Metacritic and GameRankings, BioShock is in the top 5 of the highest rated Xbox 360 games of all time! BioShock also has the highest Metacritic score for a FPS ever released. This is why BioShock needs to come to Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

It's clear that BioShock is a pinnacle achievement in video game history. Unfortunately, with the fact that Xbox One and PS4 both do not support backwards compatibility, there is no way we will be able to play BioShock on either console. More and more people are ditching their Xbox 360 or PS3 to upgrade to the Xbox One or PS4. This means those new Xbox One and PS4 owners will not be able to enjoy playing BioShock on their new consoles.

Which is why 2K Games should release the original BioShock for Xbox One and PS4, so the millions of players can once again enjoy playing one of the greatest video games of all time and arguably the greatest FPS in the history of video gaming.

What's proof that people want a HD remastering of BioShock? A YouTube video has been uploaded of a person showing a little bit of BioShock using the latest Unreal Engine 4 assets. It has nearly 600,000 views in little over 4 months. There is clearly interest and desire to own and play a HD remastered BioShock. So, 2K Games shouldn't have to worry about losing money as they will surely make a profit from a release like this.

Developer companies remastering their older games for the Xbox One and PS4 is starting to become the norm now as developors realize they can get a quick cash grab from doing this. The Last Of Us, Halo series and Metro series are just a few examples of older games being remastered for the Xbox One and PS4. If Naughty Dog can do this, why can't 2K? If 343 Industries can do this, why can't 2K? If 4A Games can do this, why can't 2K?

A few weeks ago, right before Comic-Con, 2K games teased us BioShock fans when they released a picture of an advertisement from the original BioShock game and the only caption provided was "Discuss". Everyone became excited and anxious to see what the inevitable new BioShock news was. Most people were expecting an announcement of a BioShock remastering due to the picture being an ad from the first BioShock game. Well, as of today's writing (8/4/2014), 2K games revealed that the big news was simply the fact that BioShock is coming to iOS devices. People were very disappointed and let down. Everyone was expecting bigger news than that. Most comments I read were of people not excited at all for the iOS release and instead were hoping that the big news was for an announcement of a remastered version of BioShock instead.

If you can put the money, time, and effort into porting BioShock to iOS devices 2K. Then you can put that same money, time, and effort into porting BioShock to the Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

Xbox One and PS4 owners need to experience what it's like playing one of the greatest video games of all time. If you, 2K Games, release BioShock for the Xbox One and PS4, those owners will be able to experience that.
