Inciting Transgender Vilification under the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977
Vilifying people who are transgender by implying that people who identify as Transgender should not be allowed to live a normal life nor take part in the accepted activities of society such as marriage; condoning the drugging and murder of people who are transgender; identifying ‘Trannys’ as prostitutes; and treating them as members of a subclass by using the term ‘Tranny’ in a derogative way to insight vilification. Allowing a public act to be broadcast that was not reasonable nor in good faith as it was set up to engage in a transphobic discourse.
