Early Release for Geore L.R. Johnson

Early Release for Geore L.R. Johnson
The Issue
My name is George L.R Johnson IV, I am writing this petition in hopes of receiving enough signatures to pursue the government into granting me an early release. I humbly thank everyone for the time they have put into this matter. This is my first felony charge, not to take away from the severity of the charges, however the law says that factors must be taken into consideration when sentencing. The charges are as follow; Murder in the 2nd degree, 25-Life, 3 counts of promoting prostitution, 2 in the 2nd degree and 1 in the 3rd which carry 7-15 years and 2 counts of weapons in the 3rd degree which carry a 3-7 year charge. The 2nd set of charges run consecutive to each other but concurrent to the murder. Which makes the lower charges supersede the higher charges. However interesting all of that is to those that know the law and see the mis-justice, I wish to only point out in this petition the reason why I believe I should be granted early release. After 20 years of incarceration I don't have any violence on my dispensary record, only marijuana use. I have utilized my time in a productive manner learning the necessary tools that will help me be a productive citizen in the community I wish to return to. During my sentence I worked SPA on Riker's Island (an inmate that supervises other inmates to make sure they don't commit suicide). In addition I have also made many great personal achievements, I started studying Small Engines as a student and gradually worked my way up to a tool clerk, which is a very trusted position. Then I became a Barber Shop student and worked as a tool clerk again, as well as earning 6 certificates in printing, training in a tailor shop, phase 1%2 transitional services, I was also a laundry porter in 3 different prisons, and also am a Mercy College graduate in Sociological behavior and am currently working on my bachelor's. I humbly recognize how my actions effect my family, and the family of the victim in my case. My actions were very selfish and disgraceful. My only goal now is to return to my family and ensure that the next generation in my family do not follow in my footsteps. I am grateful for all the signatures and share that I receive, even if it doesn't gain the results we pray for, it's a start and show of unity between a family and its supporters. I will finish off by saying I apologize to all the people's lives I have changed and to those that miss me now. Know that I am doing everything in my power to come home and live as a son, a brother, uncle, cousin and as a free man. Again, thank you for your time, signature and patience.
Warm Regards,
George L.R. Johnson IV.
