Prom was originally advertised and sold to students as taking place at a country club, which is the type of formal venue students expect for an event like prom. After many students had already purchased tickets and made additional plans, such as booking hotel rooms and arranging transportation, the venue was suddenly changed to a waterpark. While refunds are being offered, this does not address the inconvenience and added costs many students and families have already incurred. Prom is an important milestone, and many students feel that a waterpark does not provide the same formal experience that was originally promised. We respectfully ask that the venue be reconsidered or changed to a location that better reflects the event students paid for.
