For the 2023 pool season, residents were able to use the Southside pool in April and September on weekends only 8:00am - 8:00pm. The weekends included Saturday and Sunday only. For the months of May through August, the pool was open for use daily from 8:00am - 8:00pm. It was publicized to the community that the pool would be open daily in September and weekends only in October and is reflected in the budget for 2023. However, according to the current general manager, the Pool Security contract did not reflect this schedule.  

The hours for the pool to be open were extended from previous years as a result of resident concerns regarding the level of heat by 10am [previous opening hour] and to accommodate those who swim laps. The earlier opening allows those swimming laps to do so prior to the average arrival of families and residents interested in general use.

For the 2024 pool season, we would like to petition the board to vote on the following calendar for the Southside Georgetown pool. 
1. April and October weekends only [Friday, Saturday, & Sunday] from 8:00am – 6:00pm. We are requesting the addition of Friday to the weekends only schedule for a 3 day weekend instead of 2 days. The hours of operation take into consideration earlier sunset times.
2. May through September daily from 8:00am-8:00pm
3. Projected completion date for repairs to the Southside Pool set for March 15 to allow for delays or extension with a final completion and ready for use by March 31
