2020 USYD INFO1110 Exam was a 48hr nightmare! Outcome: scale marks/ change unit outline
The issue
2020 USYD INFO1110 Exam was too hard, staff should make changes in Students Favour eg. Amendment to the unit outline/ optional retake for students/ a fairer exam
An INFO1110 Student - "This was by far the harshest exam I have ever taken. Barely any proper explanations or examples, vague terms and "use your own judgement" replies by TA's. This was not an exam, this was more like a 20-hour assignment that took away sleep, focus and energy that was supposed to be allocated towards revision for other exams. The fact that we need 50% in this to pass the course and 50% on the oral exam, which is mostly based on this, is not logical at all, given the circumstances. Passing advanced physics isn’t even that tough, this unit outline was not designed in our favour nor was this an introductory-level whatsoever."
Info1110 has one of the highest fail rates and that is not convenient for any student, especially international students who will have to pay $6000 for this unit once again
This will affect them badly, and all of this was due to a bad and unfair system
The fact that the thread was locked and deleted is a clear example of how student voices are not HEARD NOR CARED ABOUT
