The Issue

Our beloved community of Clover Hill Farms, with its tranquil atmosphere and lush greenery, is on the brink of disruption. The proposed development of a new neighborhood next to ours threatens not only the peace and privacy we have cherished but also the very essence of our home. With no buffer, this new development is set to back up directly to our neighborhood, leading to a significant loss of trees and our valued privacy.  The lack of infrastructure threatens the structural integrity of wells, increases the possibility of water contamination, and also threatens the direction of groundwater flow.  The threats of damaging and unwelcomed change is almost endless.

Another alarming aspect of this development is the proposed pass-through road that aims to connect the new neighborhood directly to Pasture Hill Road. This change will mean a drastic increase in traffic on an already busy road, posing safety risks to our children, pets, and pedestrians, and significantly altering the character of our neighborhood.

Historically, Clover Hill Farms has been a haven for wildlife and families alike, with green spaces and minimal traffic forming the backbone of our community. The proposed 200 home neighborhood and pass-through road would not only affect the daily lives of residents but also impact local wildlife that depends on the trees and open space for habitat.

We urge the local zoning board to reconsider these plans and explore alternatives that do not infringe upon existing neighborhoods. Preserving our community’s character and safety must be a priority, and we propose that an assessment be done to identify potential solutions that do not compromise our green spaces or increase traffic hazards.

We cannot do this alone. We need your support to make our voices heard. Sign this petition to protect Clover Hill Farms from unnecessary and harmful development changes. Together, we can preserve the integrity and serenity of our community.

Sign this petition today to begin the fight to protect the peace and serenity of neighborhoods.  We must protect this land which is currently zoned as agricultural!

Community meetings will take place on November 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM to discuss these two zoning cases. They will take place at Alberta Smith Elementary School cafetorium at 13200 Bailey Bridge Road, Midlothian, Virginia 23112.
