I believe that an 18 year old person woman or male should not be sent to prison for life because at the age of 18 humans have undeveloped minds, and it's still room for growth.  The legal age to buy cigarettes 🚬 was moved to 21 years of age, so I feel it's only right to be considered an adult in the court system you must be 21. Everyone deserves a second chance and at such a young age it is scientifically proven that your decision making and judge of decision  is not are not fully developed so with that being said this is a good enough reason to push the age that you're considered to be an adult in the Iowa prison system to 21 years old. We all make mistakes but it would be more reasonable for them to serve an extended period of time in prison then be eligible for parole after 25 to 35 years in prison.
