Kristen Knight is a 22 year old mother to a 5 yr old daughter and 2 year old son, a family member and true friend to many.

On February 10, 2014 around 4:00 pm Kristen Knight was killed by a repeat offender of Drunk Driving. This senseless act could have been been prevented, had the driver not "paid out" of the system. Our fellow Police Officers, Emergency responders, and judges of the law constantly have to see repeat offenders due to our State Law allowing them to continously buy their way through the system, only to get back on the roads and make the same mistake.

We as a community have an obligation to get drunk drivers off the road, to protect the children involved, and to protect our loved ones. Drunk Drivers must get Maximum amount of time served which is 25 years in the state of SC, and should never have the opportunity to drive on our roads again. For now we MUST fight for Kristen. Her family is lost without her, and her kids are crying for their mommy. The driver deserves the full 25 years.  This was NOT the drivers first offense, and still chose to drive drunk with over .20 blood alcohol content on a Monday afternoon speeding approximately 80-85 mph at a 35 mph busy intersection in a school zoned area. Our Laws Must be changed! DO NOT LET REPEAT OFFENDERS OUT OF JAIL! NO BOND, MAXIMUM TIME - Please sign this petition. FIGHT FOR KRISTEN
