We are asking the City of Ottawa to repair and properly maintain the horseshoe pits at Riverain Park.  The  pits need wood replaced.  Pin’s are set with wrong angles.  Different heights and even some are missing.   Season starts May 5th and the horseshoe area is full of debris   

The horseshoe pits are a valued part of the park and are regularly used by community members, including organized leagues, seniors, and casual players. Unfortunately, the current condition of the pits has made them difficult to use and raises safety concerns.

Repairing the horseshoe pits would: ✅ Improve safety for players
✅ Support local recreation and community leagues
✅ Encourage outdoor activity and social connection
✅ Preserve an important community amenity in Vanier

We respectfully request that the City of Ottawa inspect and bring the horseshoe pits back to a safe, playable standard as soon as possible.
