あけましておめでとうございます。

「善福寺川上流調節池（仮称）の説明会」
杉並区の強い要請に基づき、善福寺川上流調節池（仮称）（トンネル式の地下調節池の整備に関して）の説明会が、1月20日（土曜日）に行われることになりました。
この説明会はオープンハウス形式ではなく、定員100名で、説明会の後に質疑応答ができるそうです。

殆どの人が知らされていなかった8月の説明会から、丁寧な説明を求める為、私達は署名活動、東京都に素案の説明会をもってもらうよう要望書の提出、記者会見を2回、プレスリリース、意見書の提出を行ってきました。

なぜシールド工法をとる必要性があったのか、たくさん頂いているコメントにも書かれていた「自然に基づいた解決策（NBS(Nature-based solution)）」は検討されていなったのか（流出抑制技術、雨水浸透施設、透水性舗装）、立ち退きがない方法ないのか、子供たちの遊び場を無くさない方法は検討されているのか、などなど数々の疑問点を東京都にきいてみませんか？

With the support for the Suginami ward, an information session to explain the construction plans of Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Urban Planning River No. 8" will be held on January 20th (Saturday). 
This information session will not be held in the form of an "open-house", but instead permits 100 participants, allowing the sharing of opinions and questions at the end of this session. 
Details are as follows:
Date and Time : January 20th, 2024 (Saturday), 14:30 ~ 16:30

Location : Suginami Ward 3rd &4th committee rooms (5F, middle building)
Participants : 100

Since the (uninformed) information session held in August 2023, in pursuit of a thorough explanation, we have been petitioning, issuing a press-release, submitting a formal request to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to hold a detailed information session, held two press conferences, and submitted our opinions and thoughts on the construction.
Hopefully, in this information session, many of our questions, such as: why was a tunnel construction (shield machine method) the only option for flood prevention in this area? Why wasn't a nature-based solution explored (if it was, why was this not an option), prioritizing environmental conservation without causing destruction to natural ecosystems and our livelihoods? Is the eviction of 20 households really necessary? Is the demolition of parks where many children play necessary?

善福寺川「水鳥の棲む水辺」創出事業シンポジウム（勤労福祉会館）
「善福寺川とともに歩み、次世代へつなぐ」をテーマに、水辺での遊びを通じて子どもたちが身につけられるさまざまな力の紹介、善福寺川で観察できる野鳥デッサンの実演やさまざまな活動報告を、杉並区が行います。パネルディスカッションでは、環境教育や本事業にかかわった井荻小学校の卒業生たちに話し合っていただいた内容を基に、専門家を交えてディスカッションもあるそうです。
