The Issue

22 May 2014, thousands of students sat the AQA C2 Maths paper, having been thoroughly prepared to show their brilliance. However, when the paper opened many students felt cheated against. A whole range of questions unlike what has ever been seen before appeared in front of their eyes. We can understand that that 1 or 2 questions are tweaked every year. But this was a dramatic change from the type of papers of what the exam board had previously gave out. students believe this kind of paper was created to capitalise on the fact we have no more January exams and so we would only have one more barren chance to pass the exam with no real practice on this new type of exam, as this paper, which has just been sat, will only become available late next year and will be the only paper we will be able to practice on. The government are making tests increasingly ever more difficult so that more people will give up on education to take lower status jobs that in the government's view, need filling, which will in turn give the deception that youth unemployment is going down when really they're scrounging through minimum wage . Furthermore, the decline in exam results will make a motive for the government to swoop in and "save the day" by encouraging the privatisation for education services and so further increase class divides.

In all, Students across the country feel frustrated and cheated and deserve reconciliation for the unimaginable hard work they committed to, to keep Britain as one of the best countries for education and making Great Britain proud. With that not only I, but thousands of students urge you to sign this petition for the benefit of Britains future. Thank you.
