A federally funded youth mental health program, Headspace, has established an organisation known as Peninsula Pride, which seeks to normalise homosexual behaviour. It is operating in at least 7 secondary schools in Victoria.

Students have been told: "Now is the time to find out who you are - homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual. The way to do it is to try it and see how you feel." *Based on a report of a Peninsula Pride representative, confirmed by 3 chaplains.

This could lead to identity confusion and anxiety. The serious health risks of homosexual activity also make this very harmful advice. 

The Safe Schools Coalition Victoria, which has 117 member schools and growing, and now Headspace/Peninsula Pride on the Peninsula (Commonwealth funded), are organisations committed to normalizing homosexuality, at times to the very young. Sexual orientation is not something that needs to be taught to innocent kids who in the normal course of growing up have strong friendships with members of the same sex.
