Todd Rex Gloria is an American politician currently serving as the 37th mayor of San Diego, a position he has held since 2020. A member of the Democratic Party, Gloria has a distinguished career in public service, beginning with his role as a District Director at the Office of U.S. Congresswoman Susan Davis. He later served as a Councilmember for District 3 on the San Diego City Council and as an Assembly Member for District 78 in the California State Assembly. Gloria also contributed as a Housing Commissioner in San Diego. His academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from the University of San Diego, following his education at Madison High School. As mayor, Gloria acts as the chief executive officer of the City of San Diego.
