Scott Thomas Wilk Sr. is an American politician known for his involvement with the California Republican Party. He most recently served as the California State Senate Minority Leader from January 20, 2021, to December 5, 2022. Wilk represented the 21st district, which includes Antelope Valley, Victor Valley, and most of the Santa Clarita Valley. His political career began in the California State Assembly, where he served from 2012 to 2016. Before his tenure in the State Senate starting in 2016, Wilk was a trustee at the College of the Canyons. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, Bakersfield. Prior to his political career, his diverse experience included leadership roles in education.
