Roberto Speranza is an Italian politician who has served as the Minister of Health since 2019. Born in 1979 in Potenza, he began his political career in the Italian Communist Youth Federation before transitioning to the Democrats of the Left party. Speranza was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2008 and has held leadership roles within his party, including serving as the national coordinator from 2009. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to progressive policy issues such as labour rights and public healthcare.
