Mike Hilgers is an American businessman, lawyer, and politician currently serving as the Nebraska Attorney General. A member of the Republican Party, he represented the 21st district in the Nebraska Legislature from 2017 to 2023, and was the Speaker of the Nebraska Legislature from 2021 to 2023. Hilgers holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. His professional background includes founding roles at Hilgers Graben PLLC and Gober Hilgers PLLC, as well as serving as an attorney at Fish & Richardson P.C. and a law clerk for Edith Brown Clement at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
