She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University and a Master's in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Additionally, she is a Certified Public Accountant. Marie began her academic journey at Gilroy High School. Her career has been marked by public service and entrepreneurship. She has served as the Mayor of Gilroy, demonstrating her commitment to her community. Prior to her mayoral role, she was a City Councilmember in Gilroy. Beyond her public service, Marie is also a successful small business owner, applying her expertise in accounting and management to support local economic growth.
