Gregory John Stanton, born in 1970, is an American lawyer and politician currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Arizona's 4th congressional district, a position he has held since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Stanton previously served as Mayor of Phoenix from 2012 to 2018 and was a Phoenix City Council member representing District 6 from 2000 to 2009. Before his tenure in Congress, he also worked as a Deputy Attorney General at the Arizona State Attorney General's Office. Stanton earned a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Marquette University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan. His career reflects a strong commitment to public service and community leadership.
