Edward Scott is currently serving his first term as a Council Member on the North Hempstead Town Board, representing the second councilmanic district, which includes Albertson, Searingtown, North Hills, Roslyn Heights, East Hills, Greenvale, and parts of Mineola and Glenwood Landing. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Scott is a retired 20-year veteran of the New York City Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant and was a first responder on September 11, 2001. After retiring, he became a small business owner and has been an active community leader, serving as President of the Albertson Civic Association since 2012 and as a Commissioner of the Albertson Water District since 2021.
