Medicaid is more than a healthcare program. It’s a lifeline that saves lives across Montana. As caregivers from all over the state, we have witnessed the profound impact of Medicaid firsthand. For tens of thousands of Montanans -- Including our most vulnerable family members and neighbors. Including some of us — Losing Medicaid means losing access to essential, life-saving healthcare. Medicaid saves lives. 
Recently, Representatives Ryan Zinke and Troy Downing cast deciding votes to kill Medicaid for tens of thousands of Montanans — a decision we view as an abomination. This action threatens the well-being of countless Montanans who rely on Medicaid day in and day out. It also threatens ALL Montanans access to healthcare, because cutting Medicaid also means hurting healthcare providers' ability to provide care. We, as a statewide community, cannot stand by as life-saving healthcare is ripped away from those who need it most and those who provide Montana’s healthcare. We urge Senators Steve Daines and Tim Sheehy to reject these cuts and save Medicaid in the Senate. Maintaining Medicaid is not just an option. It's a necessity for sustaining our state’s health. 
 Medicaid supports caregivers, families, and individuals battling chronic illnesses, disabilities, and so much more. It ensures access to medications, doctor visits, and emergency care that is otherwise out of reach for tens of thousands of Montanans.
