Help Stop Development Threatening a Wildlife Corridor in South East QLD

The issue

As a resident living close to the proposed development site on 215 Guineas creek Road, Elanora I witness the rich biodiversity of our local wildlife corridor on a daily basis. This area is home to an array of endangered, threatened and vulnerable flora and fauna including koalas, black cockatoos, kingfishers, owls, rare swamp wallabies, possums, echidnas and green tree frogs. The loss of this habitat would not only displace these creatures but also increase their risk of death through road kill.

Despite our appeal against the council's decision to approve this housing development project in Elanora QLD Australia, we are yet to see any change. It's alarming that such decisions are being made when studies show that Australia has one of the highest rates of species extinction worldwide (source: Australian Conservation Foundation).

This wildlife corridor is among some of the last remaining in south east Queensland - a region already heavily impacted by habitat destruction. We cannot stand by while more precious habitats are lost.

We need your support now more than ever. By signing this petition you're standing up for our local wildlife and sending a clear message that their survival matters more than another housing development. Please sign and share this petition today!
