The Issue

I am amongst many women who have endured one of the worst types of pain - the pain of miscarriage. This experience, recurring multiple times, led me to discover the significance of progesterone and aspirin in maintaining a healthy pregnancy. I was given Cyclogest Progesterone suppositories and low-dose aspirin, a regime that resulted in a successful and safe pregnancy.

I firmly believe all women should have access to this preventative treatment. So I urge healthcare providers worldwide to make it a standard procedure to offer all pregnant women a blood test to check their progesterone levels. If levels are found to be beneath the healthy range, Cyclogest Progesterone suppositories and low-dose aspirin should be provided.

Progesterone is a vital hormone produced by the ovaries during pregnancy, which helps to maintain the pregnancy and prevents miscarriages. Regrettably, up to 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, with progesterone deficiency playing a significant role (March of Dimes). Moreover, a low-dose aspirin regimen can prevent preeclampsia, a syndrome caused by placental blood clots, which is responsible for about 15% of premature births each year (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists).

The possibility that a simple blood count, supplement, and low-dose aspirin could prevent the heartbreak of numerous women highlights the urgency of this change. Please sign this petition and support us in pleading healthcare providers to prioritize progesterone level testing and prevention treatment during confirmatory pregnancy exams.
