No new houses until sewage is fixed

The Issue

Water from storm drains entering our sewage system regularly overwhelms the system and forcing untreated sewage into our sea. However technology allows us to build homes in a way which can reduce water use, store rain water on site or reuse 'grey water'.

Canterbury needs to force developers to build to a 'water neutral' standard. We can't allow new homes to be built until we are confident it won't force more sewage flowing into our seas.

This campaign is supported by Rosie Duffield MP who is calling on the council to reopen the Local Plan and reconsider its plans to build 17,000 homes without considering the impact on our sewage system.
