Creating walking paths and building a subdivision creates less land for our wildlife to thrive. Yes it creates housing opportunities but wherever they decide to put it can take away from the beauty of our nation. We should have a say where it is placed and a better plan for waste disposal and safety concerns for our community. It creates more safety risks and may invite more danger into our community. I believe we should have a community gathering and vote on where it should be established and it’s a chance for anyone In The community to voice any concerns they have about the new additions. Privacy, more traffic and less environment for our wildlife to thrive are some of my personal concerns.

I have lived on the Island my whole life and watched the Broom take over. It has always been worrisome but now that fires are a year occurrence it is crucial that it be removed. Now is the time! Hire high school and university students to remove it.
Linda supported: Protect BC’s Ecosystems: Remove Invasive Scotch Broom Now!
I’ve only lived on the South Island for 4 years now and have watched this very invasive species take over large tracks. Up to Sooke and over to the Hartland landfill broom is now a dominant plant. We cannot wait a few years, we need action now before its way too late.

Having grown up in Gravenhurst, I have a sincere love and appreciation for the Mukoka region and its waterways. Not only will this develop over burden exiting infrastructure in Gravenhurst it will do unknown harm to the environment. Muskoka is home to many different types of wildlife that has already been negatively impacted by the development of private cottages. I implore Doug Ford and the Ontario Government to reconsider this develop and to preserve the waterfront and landscape for future generations.
Sarah supported: Stop the MZO development at Cliff Bay + Muskoka Bay
We should be working to reduce our impact on the environment and beautiful resources of our wonderful province, not ravage it further with massive developments like this.

I’m old enough to remember when the Centre closed. The government assured the people of Gravenhurst only developments that brought back high paying, skilled jobs would be permitted. This proposed development brings nothing but seasonal low paying jobs. It will add environmental stress on Gravenhurst Bay. It benefits no one but the current governments cronies. Gravenhurst deserves better. It deserved better 30 years ago and it deserves better today.
