My wife is disabled and is finding it very hard to hang around waiting for a bus.
ray supported: Stop all the bus cancellations and reinstate vital bus routes
Particularly pertinent to the SEND community who are being punished for simply trying to survive in a mainstream system not equipped for neurodiverse children and local authorities pushing unsuitable settings on these poor children

I work as a mechanical supervisor, I was asked by my employer to run a large heating project in a school over the summer holidays. I wrote to my daughter's school, as did my employer explaining this. I took my daughter out of school whilst other members of her year was on foreign exchange holidays, thinking this would be less disruptive to her education but her school still fined myself and my wife. I think it's disgusting that you can be fined when having a legitimate reason for not being able to take your family away in school holidays.

My husband and I work. The government know full well that working parents can't all take hoilday leave at the same time. Who would be working if everyone had the same time periods off. We have to hope we can get the time in the school hoildays we all fight to have same time off in busy school hoildays. The government drilling the narrativeattendance is the be all and end all. Threatening parents with court fees if fines are not paid. Fines which do not go to the school but to pay for councils administration fee and government pot. For two years I home schooled my kids. They are to the expected pigeon holed boxers that the government want our kids to be in. To look good to the rest of the world. ( Not all kids are academically clever some are better in hands on approach) It's a disgusting power play by the u.k government to control how we live. Go on hoilday when we dictate you can. If your kids are sick we will harrass you daily until they return to school. Any parent whom has a sick child who works wants the free childcare so it's comical how we parents are seen as keeping our kids off because there at home relaxing. Half send there kids in ill and then guess what it gets passed on before you realise half the class are off sick. The fact of the matter is we have a government that forces parents to do as there told or get a fine. Have a meeting on why attendance has dropped. You even have one day of school down as two sessions. Costs, working parents, or low income family's whom can't afford to take a hoilday in the timeframe permitted are judged. My son has autism and hates it when it's too busy but that isn't a good enough reason. Working isn't a good enough reason.. why not come up with a system that doesn't penalise u.k residents of hard earned money! Why not use your degrees from Eton, Oxford, or whatever private school you attended and come into the real world. I was public taught we pay for it via taxes it's not coming out of your pocket but everyone's. Why not think logistics and do what we had no choice to do in lock down and give the kids work to do while they are away. I'm afraid that the u.k government will ignore the petition as they care more about clean air lining hardworking people for air that the wind blows. It's like an episode of punked but it's the people that suffer. Food banks in 2024, fines for driving a diesel, or anything bigger than a car,and clean air zones, when public transport is a joke. Costs are so high it's cheaper to pay your stupid money grabbing fines.

It’s called international for a reason. I believe so many will benefit from the Eurostar running through ashford international again. £30 for a ticket to St Pancras after you’re already spending x amount on tickets to Europe. It’ll be fair to the residents of Kent because travel will be way more accessible.
Chloe supported: Please Bring Back In't Services To Both Ebbsfleet & Ashford International Stations
This would be great loss to our village. My daughter is due to start university and was planning to use the train
Sarah supported: Stop the removal of the 7.08 Train Service from Hinckley to Birmingham New Street
My recent experience exposed systemic issues that demand immediate investigation. VFS Global, an outsourced service provider for the Indian government’s consular services, engages in unethical practices, including unnecessary delays by repeatedly requesting already submitted documents, likely to push applicants toward costly premium services. Their dual role of processing standard applications and offering expedited services is a conflict of interest, incentivizing delays in regular services. They mislead customers with deceptive website error messages like “URL not available,” which I tested and confirmed is actually caused by incorrect file formats or photo uploads. This proves their intent to frustrate applicants into paying for premium services. Additionally, their per-minute phone support is expensive and unhelpful, further exploiting customers. Service fees go directly to VFS instead of the Indian government, raising transparency concerns, and many report delayed refunds. Such manipulative and deceptive practices make VFS unfit to handle sensitive applications in the U.S., requiring urgent investigation. I prefer to remain anonymous due to the ongoing status of my application but will consider further action if these practices persist.

Imagine this: you’ve done everything right. You’ve submitted your VISA application, paid the fees, and now all you want is a simple update on its status. You head to their tracking website, punch in your details, and voilà—the system graciously informs you that your application is "not found." Strange. You try again, only to be greeted by a curt message informing you that you are now banned from the website. Yes, you read that correctly—a website, meant to serve customers, has decided that you, the paying customer, no longer deserve access. But the adventure doesn’t end there. Determined to seek answers, you call VFS Global’s customer service. The representative picks up, and you feel a flicker of hope. Surely, a human voice will help untangle this mess? Except, this human voice has other plans. Instead of addressing your concerns, they cryptically declare, "This is the second warning. Do you have any further questions?" Confused, you ask, "What warning? What does this even mean?" The response? A sneer, followed by the ominous phrase, "This is your last warning. Goodbye." And just like that, the call ends. No answers. No resolution. Just a lingering sense of disbelief that this level of service could exist in 2025.

A very good friend worked for evri, she worked so hard very early start sorting parcels before starting her round. All that effort and still with fuel and vehicle costs the reward didn’t match the effort put in, yet day in day out she kept on going.
Susie supported: Stop Evri from Unfairly Cutting Couriers' Rates and removing work without notice
My Evri Courier is fabulous, sometimes coming to me 4 times a week, I’d hate to lose him. I hope the get a decent deal From this merger, he’s become more like a neighbour than a courier.
