This is a great local resource in the area to those with small children. Please think hard before you remove this resource. We get a lot of rain here and it’s ideal for when the weather is bad. There are very few places for little ones in the Conwy Valley. Make the right decision and you’ll gain a lot more local support

This is totally unacceptable! Elephants are beautiful, intelligent, emotional creatures and any tourists that support this kind of abuse but paying to use these elephants for their own pleasure are as bad as the abusers themselves. Elephants belong in the wild to roam freely and live with their families. This HAS to stop NOW!

Elephants are a large part of not only our childhood but adult life too. They have just as much right to be left alone & not used as work machines or trained to perform in a Circus but especially NOT for there Tusks. Please protect our wild life.

We got married on Grace Bay three years ago and come back to stay every year ….each year we stay longer and longer. This year we’ve stayed for six weeks and contemplated buying a second home here. However, the uptick in criminal activity has caused us to rethink our purchase of real estate on Turks And Caicos.

My recent experience exposed systemic issues that demand immediate investigation. VFS Global, an outsourced service provider for the Indian government’s consular services, engages in unethical practices, including unnecessary delays by repeatedly requesting already submitted documents, likely to push applicants toward costly premium services. Their dual role of processing standard applications and offering expedited services is a conflict of interest, incentivizing delays in regular services. They mislead customers with deceptive website error messages like “URL not available,” which I tested and confirmed is actually caused by incorrect file formats or photo uploads. This proves their intent to frustrate applicants into paying for premium services. Additionally, their per-minute phone support is expensive and unhelpful, further exploiting customers. Service fees go directly to VFS instead of the Indian government, raising transparency concerns, and many report delayed refunds. Such manipulative and deceptive practices make VFS unfit to handle sensitive applications in the U.S., requiring urgent investigation. I prefer to remain anonymous due to the ongoing status of my application but will consider further action if these practices persist.

Imagine this: you’ve done everything right. You’ve submitted your VISA application, paid the fees, and now all you want is a simple update on its status. You head to their tracking website, punch in your details, and voilà—the system graciously informs you that your application is "not found." Strange. You try again, only to be greeted by a curt message informing you that you are now banned from the website. Yes, you read that correctly—a website, meant to serve customers, has decided that you, the paying customer, no longer deserve access. But the adventure doesn’t end there. Determined to seek answers, you call VFS Global’s customer service. The representative picks up, and you feel a flicker of hope. Surely, a human voice will help untangle this mess? Except, this human voice has other plans. Instead of addressing your concerns, they cryptically declare, "This is the second warning. Do you have any further questions?" Confused, you ask, "What warning? What does this even mean?" The response? A sneer, followed by the ominous phrase, "This is your last warning. Goodbye." And just like that, the call ends. No answers. No resolution. Just a lingering sense of disbelief that this level of service could exist in 2025.

It’s vital that local knowledge and experience is respected and local voices listened to, especially where safety is concerned at this important location. This affects the whole community of Portmagee.
