I worked at the wilderness village for almost 2 years and have first hand seen the impact that the previous store owners had on the town. I left before the current owners came on board, but have no doubt they carried on the amazing work. The current management of Licola is going to be the downfall of the town. The store will not be the same if left to be ran by the current management. Do the right thing Lions Board directors, and follow through with the original agreement.

I have only ever experienced warm, top notch service at this store. I sincerely encourage the board to reflect on what has led them to consider such an absurdly immoral decision and readjust thier compass to align better with the spirit of the community that surrounds them and indeed the values of thier own club.

It is sad when a person has put their life into a business and be part of a community which she loves, and now has to pack up everything with no support or compassion from the Lions and the Wilderness Village Board.

Small businesses such as this are being forced out in the US and apparently in Australia as well and it’s such a shame. This store is what makes people cherish the area making them want to keep coming back. Leanne has continued its legacy and obviously made an impact on everyone passing thru. She’s an integral member of the community and should not be pushed out. PLEASE LET LEANNE STAY!!!!! It’s the only right thing to do to continue the Lion’s Club mission statement.
