As a concerned parent, my son uses the pick up and drop off service and programs put in place by the PCYC at Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) located at the PCYC at Bridge St. These programs have been essential in providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment beyond school hours that helps our children grow and learn.

Our local PCYC Bridge St OSHC needs your help. Its closure would impact hundreds of families who rely on this service to transport and support their children’s growth and development. Impacted are including but not limited to Lakes Creek Primary School, The Hall, Lighthouse Christian College, Park Avenue State School, Glenmore State School and a huge overflow from other schools who do not have the capacity to accommodate children within their own OSHC programs.

This service not only facilitates flexible working conditions for many parents but also offers invaluable benefits for our children, exposing them to diverse experiences, activities, and valuable social interactions in a secure setting. Closure of this facility would be a setback for us parents and a disservice to our community and our children's future.  My son, along with so many other children adore the staff and his time spent with Ms Kylie, Ms Tracey and Mr Mal (just to name a few).

We respectfully request the relevant authorities in particular Bev Book to reconsider this decision and keep the PCYC Bridge's OSHC operational. Please sign this petition to show your support for the continuity of this service. Stand with us in keeping our children’s future bright.
