The new tariffs just imposed on our neighbors to the north and south of the US is nothing more than a 25% tax on everyday hard working Americans to enable and pay for the tax cuts on the highest 1% gross income bracket. Where are all the savings that was supposed to bring down cost of living expenses for the rest of us that was supposed to take place w/ the change in the new administration? Who does Darrin LaHood think he represents? A new election for this seat comes faster than expected and if he isn’t going to represent his constituency first and foremost, it’s time to find someone who will!!
I did not vote for Young Kim because I know that this is what to expect of Republicans. We don’t always get to have the leader we wanted and that’s okay, but you’re elected BY the people and you’re supposed to work FOR the people, and I guarantee that THIS is not what people want, including those that voted for Young Kim out of partisan politics simply because there’s a R next to her name on the ballot. There is not a single politician in any party that is worthy of their seat if that person is NOT fighting for what the people want, PERIOD!
It important now more than ever that our representatives interact with their constituents. if they are afraid to meet with the people they represent, they don't deserve to hold office.
Because of all the wild changes taking place and so much of it apparently directed by an unelected civilian it is critical that Sen. Graham have a meeting and truly listen to what his constituents want and need. He is supposed to represent us and not have blind loyalty to anyone else, not even the president. Country and constituents over party!!!
As your constituent I am very, very afraid about the future of our democracy. And I am very concerned about losing my social security. I have paid into the system my entire working life and now need it for a sustainable retirement. Please help!
Senator Graham, I am one of your constituents. I’m a spouse of a retired military veteran who is a federal employee, a mom to twin boys in public school who have 504 plans to help them succeed in spite of their personal obstacles, a daughter caring for her mother who has stage IV cancer and is hoping for new treatment options. I am also a very concerned citizen. The unbridled acts of an unelected immigrant accessing sensitive data, cutting jobs and programs that hurt your constituents should matter to you. I would like to remind you that you work for the people of SC, not Trump. Citizens have valid concerns and we want to hear from you. Stop labeling us as lunatics. It’s insulting and you should know better. We deserve a town hall.
My sister-in-law studies biomedical sciences at Augusta University in the graduate school. Their NIH grant that funds their Alzheimer’s research has been frozen for next year. This administration is directly halting progress to help scientific advancement, human health, and real people with real jobs, passions, and fields of study. You cannot say this is not impacting your neighbors — this is at a local university.
Suicides, trauma, and uncertainty. If you aren’t aware this is what is happening to your constituents because of the bills you are passing, maybe you should have a real town hall instead of one with all the filters to protect you from our stress and trauma. You work for us. If we weren’t gerrymandered, you would be fired. This isn’t a numbers game. This is people’s lives. You seem to forget that.
As a Navy veteran, I'm offended by Musk and Trump's constant assaults on the truth, the Constitution, and the rule of law. As a Jew, I'm offended by Nazi salutes by prominent MAGAts, with no pushback from our so-called leaders, with other racist comments to our black and brown citizens, and disrespect to the women.
