Wilber needs more lights and cameras in the back. I have had too many weird and scary things happen back there that I try not to leave back there at night. We as students live in USM residential dorm for safety and security away from home, and so far we only get a roof over our head and no real security. We need change.
I’ve been chased before behind Wilber while walking towards the building from the parking lot. There were incidents of strangers throwing rocks at the windows. It was reported, but nothing could be done due to the lack of cameras. Having lights and cameras installed would make residents feel so much safer at Wilber considering it is out in the open and close to the highway. There have been incidents of strangers loitering at Wilber due to the lack of lights and cameras as well. The RAs can only do so much before their own safety is put in danger trying to protect the building. That burden shouldn’t be placed on them completely. Obviously, it’s gonna take money and time, but hopefully, some serious consideration will happen before a decision is made. We’re not asking for a 24/7 guard or some expensive high-tech security system. Just something as simple as a camera and an extra or brighter light would relieve so many of the worries and concerns of safety. Residents deserve to feel safe in the buildings they pay to live in.
as a resident of wilber this has been an ongoing issue. my tires were slashed last year and they couldn’t do anything cause they have no cameras. our safety is important the university needs to treat it as such
I make a living selling vintage items on Marketplace. I've been selling on Marketplace for 5 years now and I built up a nice clientele and I love Marketplace. This is the first major issue I've had with them and it's a big one when it comes to not getting our payouts. This is my livelihood and I'm getting behind on my bills. I have payouts owed to me from Feb to present day. Right now the total is 6 payouts owed & there's be no explanation from Meta or any live customer support to talk to.
i met jess a few years ago, before her health troubles began, and was always hearing about noel and juniper. keeping a person from having their pets is cruel, especially when the reason for rehoming in the first place is outside their control. jess deserves to have the comfort of juniper back in her life!
So much for friends and family. It is bad enough she has endured this illness and lasting effects but to keep her feline family from her because they feel they are superior? It is cruel and unacceptable. Legal help may be needed but I hope Juniper will be "home" soon.
Sony’s ToS regarding digital ownership of games is a violation of our rights towards owning items, whether physical or digital. A company should NOT have the right to revoke something we as consumers have spent sometimes thousands of our hard earned dollars buying just to be told one day we can’t access it anymore, or if your account is banned, you have zero access to it at all. Also their ToS concerning chat and what is said needs to be changed. SOOO many people have received improper suspensions or bans due to Sonys lack of actual investigation into what was said/went on. We the people have freedom of speech which applies to any aspect of our lives, corporations shouldn’t be able to tell us what we can or cannot say when on a device WE paid for
We have lived in collierville for twenty-five years and raised our three children here. One of the reasons we settled here is because this is such a beautiful town with loads of charm. Another reason is that it is safe. Our children were able to safely walk to the town square on their own when they were in elementary school. They played on our front yard. They rode their bikes. If we were raising children here now, none of those things would be possible. Unfortunately the leadership of this town has allowed too many apartments to be built and too many commercial spaces to be built, while others sit empty. Traffic is ridiculous. Reckless drivers cruise up and down Peterson Lake, Powell, and White Roads at 40 and 50 miles an hour without consequence. Drivers do not stop at crosswalks. The last thing we need is more until we have the infrastructure to support it and enough police officers to strictly enforce traffic laws. We should retain the unique and welcoming qualities of Collierville and stop with the obsessive, out of control building. Please do not allow this gas station to come to fruition.
