My 11th grade daughter is aspires to be an author and adores the world of literature. She holds fast to her religious beliefs and it is hard enough to remain counter cultural. We are at TCA because of their strong core values and beliefs. This does align with the standard of exemplary citizen. I urge you to reconsider and help our teens stay teens and protect what is developmentally outside their level of understanding.

As a graduate of TCA, I’ve felt like the school has drifted further and further from its creed since my departure. Where I was proud to be a TCA grad, I am now deeply embarrassed. Please, TCA, go back to the beliefs you held before.

My 8th grade daughter has brought various books to my attention that she has felt are age inappropriate. While I know the state requires a certain number of diverse titles, I would hope we, as a school, would continue to protect the innocence and integrity of our children and cut inappropriate material when we can. Thank you for listening to our Titan community of parents.

I am a TCA grad and I am thankful for the virtues that were upheld and encouraged in us as we grew. TCA always promoted walking along side the parents in raising their children and not just raising their children for the parents, and the emergence of this issue seems to reflect a lack of communication between staff and parents over the values that parents are hoping to instill in their children.

I am a proud TCA alumni, and I have always appreciated TCA’s commitment to pursuing truth, beauty, and goodness. I admired TCA’s dedication and desire to assist parents in investing in our future generations to become people of character who pursue excellence. I am shocked and saddened by the recent departures from these values and policies. I am especially disappointed to hear that TCA admin have refused to abide by the mission statement to “ASSIST parents in THEIR mission to develop exemplary citizens”. I am also disappointed in the reported failure to abide by TCA policies in the selection of materials for the school libraries as well as the refusal demonstrated by TCA admin to heed and consider parental concerns. According to the Titan’s Creed, “Titans love, respect, and protect one another.” Parents are Titans, too, and they are deserving of the same love and respect as the students. Please be more diligent to abide by the mission, creed, policies, and core values that TCA has promoted and publicly displayed.
